Assemblywoman Beth Gaines Endorses Cristi Nelson
Roseville, CA — Assemblywoman Beth Gaines has officially endorsed small business owner and public safety advocate, Cristi Nelson for State Assembly. Nelson is running for California’s 6th Assembly District, where Gaines has served since 2010 and will term out at the end of this year. Beth and her husband, State Senator Ted Gaines have both endorsed Crsiti Nelson in her campaign to succeed Beth in the Assembly.
“Cristi Nelson is a respected community leader and champion of hardworking families,” Beth said. “As a Sacramento-area native who has chosen to raise her family and operate her business here, Cristi offers a valuable perspective on the issues that face our region. Her strong work ethic and conservative principles are exactly what this district needs. Cristi will make an excellent Assemblywoman.”
Beth Gaines is a small business owner and longtime community leader. Prior to representing the 6th District in the Assembly, Beth worked in sales and marketing for a medical supply company and gained management experience at the local branch of a national workforce employment firm. She is now the co-owner of Gaines Insurance Agency. Beth is also an active leader in the community and has volunteered for multiple non-profit organizations, including the Child Abuse Prevention Council, MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers) and Acres of Hope.
“I’m beyond honored to have received the endorsement of Assemblywoman Beth Gaines,” stated Cristi. “For years, Beth has provided our region with strong leadership. I’m committed to carrying on her legacy of fighting tax increases, working to reduce crime, and minimizing the government’s role in our lives.”
Cristi Nelson graduated from Sacramento State with a degree in Criminal Justice, and earned her law degree while working full time. Nelson has spent much of her career protecting businesses and hardworking families from predatory litigation. As the daughter of a Special Agent Supervisor with the California Department of Justice and as a longtime member of the Placer County Sheriff’s Department Search and Rescue Mounted Team, Nelson is a lifelong advocate of law enforcement and the safety and security of our communities.
Cristi is a self-made businesswoman who is running for the Assembly in order to promote conservative policies that spur job creation and promote economic prosperity. Nelson and her husband currently own a Roseville-based tech company that employs over 300 people. Since announcing last year, Nelson has emerged from a crowded field of candidates and is considered the frontrunner to replace Beth Gaines as the 6th Assembly District representative.
Cristi has been married to her husband, Rick, for 23 years, and they have a daughter, Nicole, and a son, Jake.
