Folsom Vice Mayor Jeff Starsky Endorses Cristi Nelson for Assembly
Roseville, CA — Today, local businesswoman and Republican front-runner in the race represent the residents of the 6th Assembly District, Cristi Nelson, announced that she has been endorsed by Folsom Vice Mayor Jeff Starsky. This is the latest endorsement for Nelson, who has earned strong support from numerous elected officials and community leaders across El Dorado, Placer, and Sacramento counties, including current Assemblywoman Beth Gaines and State Senator Ted Gaines.
“Cristi Nelson will be a great regional leader in the Assembly,” Starsky said. “Her background in private business, combined with her dedication to keeping our communities safe, make her the perfect choice for Assembly.”
Starsky, a 30-year resident of the city, was elected to the Folsom City Council in 2000. Like Cristi, Starsky is a huge proponent of supporting local businesses and has consistently worked to plan for Folsom’s future economic development — advocating for local job opportunities and new economic growth in the city.
“Jeff has served Folsom honorably for decades and I’m honored by his endorsement,” stated Nelson. “I’m running for the State Assembly because our region has so much potential. It is time to support local leaders like Jeff who are working day in and day out to improve their communities. As your Assemblywoman, I will be a tireless advocate for economic development and will work diligently to reduce crime and keep our streets safe.”
Throughout her career, Cristi Nelson has been recognized as a trusted problem-solver. A proven fiscal conservative, she earned her law degree while working full-time and proceeded to use her degree to expedite insurance claims and protect families and small businesses from predatory lawsuits. Nelson and her husband now own a local technology company that has over 300 employees. As a member of the Assembly, she plans to use this experience to continue the work of her predecessors and provide a voice for the region’s taxpayers.
Cristi Nelson is the leading conservative candidate for the State Assembly District 6, which incorporates communities in El Dorado, Placer, and Sacramento counties. She has been married to her husband for 23 years, and they have two kids.
