Republican Legislative Candidate Earns ‘Pathfinder’ Status
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – California Trailblazers announced today Cristi Nelson, candidate for Assembly District 6, reached ‘Pathfinder’ status, the first of three tiers in the California Trailblazers program. California Trailblazers provides Republican candidates with resources, training and skills necessary to run successful campaigns.
“Nelson has taken a crucial step by achieving ‘Pathfinder’ status,” said Jessica Patterson, CEO of California Trailblazers. “California Trailblazers encourages candidates to run competitive campaigns and Nelson has proven she is dedicated to working hard to represent those in her community.”
To attain ‘Pathfinder’ status, candidates must raise $100,000 in campaign contributions without personal loans, establish local volunteers and precinct captains and foster a significant online presence, including active social media accounts.
Nelson joins the following California Trailblazer candidates, who have achieved ‘Pathfinder’ status: Assemblywoman Ling Ling Chang (SD 29), Steve Fazio (SD 27), Bill Halldin (AD 6), Kevin Kiley (AD 6), Ken Vogel (AD 12), Clint Olivier (AD 31) and Jordan Cunningham (AD 35).
- Cristi Nelson (AD 6) – For Nelson, public service has always been a top priority. After graduating from Sacramento State, Nelson earned her law degree while working fulltime. Professionally, Nelson has devoted her career to protecting families and business owners against lawsuits and claims that jeopardized their ability to earn a living and support their families. Her work helped to expedite insurance claims, save taxpayer dollars and ensure client disputes were handled efficiently. Nelson also serves as a member of the Placer County Sheriff’s Department Search and Rescue Mounted Team and is active in her community.
California Trailblazers aims to recruit and train Republican candidates who reflect California’s diverse population.
